The Bo-Kaap website was started in June 2002, by Rishka Booran-Johnson and then resident of and a tour guide within the Bo-Kaap and in 2010 still run by her. Both my parents, all aunts and uncles were born and raised in the BoKaap too! )

There are currently 5 ways of advertising/listing on Bokaap.co.za
1 – 480px X 60px Top Banner Ads
Located at the top right, animation is allowed. Available for ZAR149 (US$20) per year. The ads placements will be with other ads on rotation, for your banner to display exclusively for a full year will be ZAR4999(US$700).
2 – 125px X 125px Side Banner Ads
Located in the far right sidebar, animation is allowed. Available for ZAR99 (US$15) per year. There will be 4 ads placements, on a rotation.
3 – Businesses
Besides those listed below, all businesses within, around or who service the Bo Kaap community can list their business on the website for Free.
Exclusions:
- Accommodation providers have to list their businesses through SafariNow.com, Viator.com and Booking.com, and then send their link to us for their free listing..
- For Real Estate businesses there is a ZAR 75 (US$10) once off fee to add your listing.
- For jobs adverts, a ZAR 50 (US$7.50) once off fee to add your listing.
4 – Included in Monthly Newsletters
Up to 140 characters including up to 3 links placed at the bottom of a newsletter, ZAR 60 ($12) per monthly newsletter.
5 – All-One-Package
- Included in 3 Monthly Newsletters
- 1 Top Banner Ad
- 1 Side Banner Ad
- Free Business Listing
All for $199 p.a. (US$29)
Payment Information
All funds will be exchanged using PayPal, or direct deposit into a South African Bank account. Bokaap.co.za reserves the right to turn down any offer made by advertisers (usually only done if the product/business or article is not related to this website’s content). Advertising plans are agreed to on an monthly / annual basis, if you would like to extend the time period an ad is shown on this blog, just let me know at info{at}bokaap.co.za…

When will the ads be placed on Bokaap.co.za?
All new ads provided by a Friday will be placed on Bokaap.co.za by the Monday following.
